Sturt Stump Cutters is a 3rd generation family-owned business that has been operating in Somerton Park for over 45 years. Our company was founded by John Ellis, owned and operated by Russell Ellis for 40 years, and now his son, Hayden Ellis. We primarily service the Western and Southern suburbs, and also the Eastern suburbs and Adelaide hills.
Our experienced and qualified arborists can assist you with any tree-related issue. We pride ourselves on providing a careful and considered service that leaves the customer happy with the end result.
We know accidents can happen, which is why we are fully insured and qualified to complete the job. Our team has all the necessary certificates to work in schools and building sites.

TREE REMOVAL
We use advanced rigging techniques to remove trees in confined spaces without causing property damage. Our team is capable of removing any tree, big or small. we can offer advice on what you are allowed to do within the current South Australian legislation, and can guide you through the development approval process.
TREE PRUNING
Our experienced arborists employ industry standard practices to ensure the health of the tree, the safety of those around it, and the desired outcome for the customer.
STUMP GRINDING
CONSULTANCY
Our team of qualified consulting arborists can assist with single tree arborist reports to submit to council, or conduct large whole-site tree audits, where each tree is inspected for its health and safety. Our arborists can offer advice on how to return your tree to health, and provide treatment options to extend its life.
EWP HIRE
If your job is out of reach, we can assist with our insulated 20 metre Elevated Work Platform (EWP). Our service comes with an experienced operator who can assist with your task.
